Tehát pl. spanyol bajnokság élén 72pontja van Realnak és Barcelonának is, gólarány Real 70:12 Barcelona 62:20, akkor Real - Barcelona 2:1, Barcelona Real 3:1 akkor egymás ellen 3-3pontot szerzett mindkét csapat és egymás elleni meccs 4:3 a Barcelonának , azaz Barcelona a BAJNOK, hiába jobb a gólaránya Realnak összeségében!!!!
Előfordulhat VB-n vagy EB-n ,hogy 3csapat is azonos pontot szerez.pl Olasz- Francia 2-2 Spanyol - Dánia 4-0, Olasz- Spanyol 1-1, Francia-Dánia 2:0 Francia-Spanyol 0-0, Olasz -Dánia 1:0 akkor a tabella igy néz ki:
